Reading shorts stories lots of facts can be found throughout the story. Short Story give you facts and information just like novels but they are a lot shorter than regular novels. The author who wrote short story are KAP,Wi and NH. They all write similar stories they also have a lot of differences to it as well. They all have different ways they like to describe their characters as well and describing their setting and other literary devices and which I will be talking about. The paper that I’m writing about will be talking about the compare and contrast three literary components that were determined through analysing the short stories that were written as well as the movie that was made and how they are similar and also how they are different. …show more content…
Sleepy Hollow is a great example of the simulators and differences to the setting. Sleepy Hollow was called that in the book as the town that the story took place in. Movie it was called The sleepy hollow and that was also the name of the town. Not everything was the same as the book when it comes to the setting. Crane was attacked by the horseman and both the story. The book crane was attack by the horseman after the attack Crane disappear. Movie was different Crane attack the horseman but after the battle he moves back to New York city with Katrina. Rappaccini's daughter had more differences than similarities. Similarities were in the book as well as the movie Geovanni came from italy. One big differences is the book they call the Father rappaccini’s but in the Movie the never call him Rappaccini not once they only called him father. Last comparison that I will talk about when it comes to Character comparison and contrast is The Jilting of Granny Weatherall. In the book and the story the similarities were the son and the daughter in both book and movie came the the bed of the there grandma as she starts to realize that she doesn't have that much time left to live. The plot for Sleepy Hollow Ichabod Crane is the schoolteacher in Sleepy Hollow a place where nothing really goes on until ghost start to appear.The plot in the movie Sleepy Hollow is very similar to the book The people in this town are always worried about ghosts and so is Ichabod.The plot for Rappaccini's Daughter is a short story about a young student named Giovanni who falls in love with a girl called Beatrice. Unfortunately the poison from her father Rappaccini's garden has contaminated her. One touch from Beatrice and Giovanni will die. While his friend Baglioni gives Giovanni the antidote to cure Beatrice to cure her his motives are from innocent. The plot in the movieRappaccini's daughter is that Beatrice and Giovanni are in love but can't be together because whatever she has her hands on she will kill because of the poison she was cursed with.The Plot in the book Granny Weatherall Granny is in bed being examined by Doctor Harry, but she insists that she's fine and just needs a little rest. This sets an interesting stage for the story and it gets us wondering about how serious Granny's condition actually is. But by the end of the story Granny unfortunately does pass away .
