Short answer
Be you
The text is about being yourself. Being truly who you really are and no one else. Don’t try to get friends when you don’t let them see the real side of you, what if they don’t like the real side of you. Maybe they liked the fake side of you more than the liked the real. The author is writing this text to show that you don’t need to be someone else, be you and someone is going to love who you are. Just be yourself and you make the right friends, and have a better time in your years growing up.

Long answer
Pay it forward
Just think if everyone where nice, what had the world been like then. The world would had been a better place for everyone. But the world is not perfect and sometimes its just a matter of having food on the table or getting that shoe that you always wanted. What if there were someone living on the street, are you going to give the homeless something or are you going to walk right by without even looking?

Pay it forward. Pay it forward is a random act of kindness. If you gave a homeless guy a jacket or a stay at a hotel because it was so cold. , That that is going to make him want to pay it forward and be nice to someone else in need of help. At least that is the theory. If he payed it forward and then the one after that did the same. , It it would make the world a better place right? If it started a ripple effect it would have made the day for so many people, and if it was a thing going on over a long period of time there weren’t going to be any people starving or having to live outside on the street, because if someone needed help someone would have payed it

The theme in the poem is that individuality or being different gives more freedom. From the poem, we can clearly see an extended metaphor using two things; flowers and a weed. The poet mentions how the flowers are “harnessed by a pot” and are "always watered, fed, guarded, admired. " This clearly shows a lack of freedom for the flower because being harnessed means by something means a restriction of moving outside the pot. This relates to how society tells people how to act and the lack of freedom they have.…

It's a nice little anecdote , about how the author's daughter being young and 'immature' , feels social acceptance outshadows all other aspects of life. The author(the father) , emphasizes the importance of identity and attempts to correct the lost little girl. Being indian , my mind saw an immediate contradiction.…

“Remember it’s ok to be yourself”-Richard Branson. This quote to me means that even if you think you don’t fit in you need to to know it’s ok to be yourself. This quote applies to the story because the author was writing to her younger self and is telling her it is ok to be herself. The author is telling her younger self about not forgetting to be herself, not trying to fit in, and she shouldn’t spend so much time trying to find herself. Don’t worry about how others think about you.…
