Short Story: Almost To Dauphin Island

“Aly we’re in Alabama, almost to Dauphin Island.” My dad mentioned as he was driving.
“Yay!” I shouted as he drove on, “I can already smell the salt in the ocean it’s like I can taste it! I can see the waves and hear them crashing against each other!”
15 minutes later my dad said “We’re here!”
When we got in our beach house we waited for our friends to get there and we walked straight to the beach because it was right across the street. We got to the beach and laid down our stuff I laid down on my towel and tried to sunbathe, but all I did was burn.
“Aly come into the ocean!” shouted my friend Sarah.
“Ok, I’m coming!” I shouted back.
