Short Story About Being Toasted

Improved Essays
Yes, I am on the phone with my family...again.

I made breakfast for you… well I tried to make breakfast. The eggs are a little burnt but hopefully you’re one of those people who like their food burnt like how people like their toast extra toasted. Get it? Extra toasted because it’s toast? *Crickets.* Yeah... I don’t get it either. This is my way of apologizing to you for keeping you up with my calls to my family. Your poor ears were held hostage by a broken record: “School is well,” “Yeah, everybody here is nice,” “I’m settling in well,” “Don’t worry about me, Aunty. I’ll be fine,” and thus more.

Anyway, have you heard of violette_fr on YouTube? Her videos are so aesthetically pleasing. Gross. I wish I didn’t use the word “aesthetically”
