One, you're thinking of an aggressive and dangerous animal that is unpredictable or two, you are thinking of a lovable dog that is just misunderstood. These breeds have been used for many things like “bull baiting”, “rat-baiting”, and dogfighting. Pit bulls aren't as bad as they seem to be. They have a long rough history. These dogs come from two very obedient dog breeds. Some also think pitbulls may have locked jaws and a high bite rate.
