Character means the aggregate of features and traits that form the individual nature of some person or thing, one such feature or trait. Compassion is a part of my character because it defines who I am as a person. I currently work at Baptist South as a Certified Nursing Assistant on a stroke and cardiac floor. Most of the patients we get can either number one not move because of a stroke, or number two are already on their death beds just waiting to go to Hospice. They’re scared and so are their families, questions are endless and it’s back breaking work moving stroke patients but I never let my compassion falter instead I show more. With every job I’ve ever done your work ethic is what everyone sees. Working in a hospital I see all kinds of work ethics, some amazing and some not so amazing. Those employees that have amazing work ethics are the nurses that provide extraordinary care for their patients by being compassionate, being reliable, and their dedication to their patients, productivity and cooperation, and finally their character. All of these are strong work ethic skills and what patients need while in the hospital.
