Chlamydia is caused by infection with Chlamydia Trachomatis causing Cervicitis and Urethritis. Chlamydia is spread through unprotected sexual contact with the penis, vagina, mouth, and anus of the infected person/partner. It can also be spread from mother to baby during childbirth.
Symptoms for males diagnosed with Chlamydia are thick yellow-green discharge, painful urine, pain in testicles, and rectal pain/discharge. Symptoms for females are vaginal discharge, painful urination, lower abdominal pain, bleeding after sex, and pain during sex.
