Remus “Butch” Levine
1949-2014

Known to me as Uncle Butch, Remus Levine was 65 years old when his spirit departed this life November 23, 2014 at Harbor Hospice. He was born on September 16, 1949, in Abbeville, LA to the late Mary Anna Levine and Hervis Levine, Sr. Uncle Butch lived most of his life in Port Arthur, Texas. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School class of 1968. Uncle Butch didn’t have many jobs in his 65 years, but he was truly valued as a self-employed shade tree mechanic. He briefly drove trucks for B.F.I and Beaumont Independent School District (BISD). He was one of several members in my family that never called me by actual name. To him I was known as Niece, Niece, yes it had to be repeated at least twice, if under the influence
