In a small town of West Alles in the city of Milwaukee, Wisconsin a baby boy was born. A healthy, bouncing baby boy who was loved dearly by his parents, he had a wonderful childhood. Except this little boy grew to be a cold-hearted, manipulative, malevolent, and cannibalistic murderer. Jeffrey Dahmer was a notorious serial killer from 1978 – 1992. Nicknamed “The Milwaukee Cannibal,” Dahmer raped, killed, and sometimes devoured, his 17 victims. Born on May 21st, 1960, Jeffrey Dahmer was born to Lionel and Joyce Dahmer. Until the age of six, Dahmer had a happy childhood. That all began to change when he noticed the rising tension in the house that would lead to the divorce of his parents. His 13th victim, a 14-year-old Laotian boy, had escaped from him. His neighbors had witnessed the Asian boy running naked through the streets and called the police. However, when the police arrived they fully believed that Dahmer’s word was credible.. Dahmer had said the boy was his 19-year-old lover who had too much to drink. The police escorted Dahmer and the boy home, and not wanting to be involved in a homosexual domestic disturbance, the police only took a light look around before leaving. After they left Dahmer proceeded with his usual rituals.According to a biography article on Dahmer it stated that, “Had they conducted even a basic search, police officers would have found the body of Dahmer’s 12th victim decomposing in the bedroom and enough photographic evidence to immediately arrest the serial killer”(Biography.com). In a biography article it stated that”he found religion through books and photos sent to him by his father” (Biography.com). He was even permitted by the correctional institute he was in to be baptized. It was short lived, however, when Dahmer was killed by a fellow inmate Christopher Scarver. Scarver was diagnosed as a schizophrenic serving a life sentence for murder. He believed it was fate that he was left alone with Dahmer. According to an article of the New York Post Scarver stated “ He would fashion severed limbs out of prison food to taunt the other inmates” (Nypost.com). Scarver even stated that he would drizzle on packets of ketchup to resemble blood. Before Dahmer’s death he agreed to his first and last interview with NBC’s Stone Phillips.
