Shoot For The Moon Analysis

Improved Essays
The quote/saying “Shoot for the moon; if you miss you'll land among stars,” is great. It stands out and is either good or bad. I think it’s more good than bad. I believe this because I think it means to give it all even with risks. Lastly it reminds me of a song which is called you're the best around. To me this means that if I try my best and I don't succeed i'll still get something out of it. This is when ill land among the stars comes in, which to me means I will get knowledge and an experience so I will know what to do next time. I believe that the saying is true. If you try but fail it's okay because you will get an experience and gain the ability to know what to change the next time. For example I myself one time had a experience, this

Every day of our lives we are being influenced. It can be a very negative experience especially when it causes us to abandon our morals out of fear. But it can also be positive, for example, it can inspire us to succeed and drive us to achieve our dreams. It is a very rare moment in our lives when we are not being influenced by outside forces. Not only did women outsmarted men on an unfair playing field where women were at a disadvantage, but they beat them at their own game. Based on socially constructed opinions, men are said to be better with numbers than women. Nevertheless, a woman was the first to figure out how to safely send a man into space and how to return alive. This was the beginning of many moon landings and space traveling. Unfortunately, it was an accomplishment that was swept under the rug, simply because it was achieved by a woman working in a predominantly male workforce.…

Harriet Tubman believed that everybody had the right to dream and become whoever they wanted to be. She inspired many women including myself to lead, accomplish, and excel in whatever we feel passionate about. This is the best piece of advice I have ever received because it inspires me to believe in myself.…

I believe He Wanted the Moon incorporated several themes such as, the stigma that surrounds mental illness is biased and it is important to remember that silence in moderation can protect a child, but eventually they should be told the truth. The first theme was incorporated mostly in the first section of the book as throughout his writing Dr. Baird explains countless times how lonely and ostracized he felt by society. He tells how he hardly received visitors during his stay at Westborough and how he lost many friendships due to his illness. It is also implied that many of his friends, though they respected him, felt that his illness was due to lack of restraint, not biochemical means. The second theme I derived from the second portion of the…

When you fail on doing something you get some more practice on the thing you failed on. For example you failed on trying to do a flip and landed on your back well if you are not hurt then you can do it again. So if you do fail you can make better with more practice and be a better person in life. It implies that in order to make a difference and to break out of your expectations that you need to be a shooting star, or be amazing at what you’ve chosen to do. When put together, both lines complement each other, the entire message being that you should see things in a positive light and that you have the potential to make your mark in the world. The entire chorus put together is rather inspirational, as if the singer has put his faith in his listener that they are capable of great things in their life as long as they choose to apply themselves. Even if the listener identifies with the singer in the sense that they think they are rather unremarkable, they still have the faith put in them that they will amount to something…
