I have worked with Shivam closely for seven months. Specifically, being his immediate supervisor and his project lead, applicant's duties include consistent as well as proactive reporting of system abnormalities to avert a potential Major Incident that might incur a loss to business due to system unavailability. The system refers to the multiple server landscapes of an international corporation.
Over the time that I have known Shivam, he has consistently performed his role with proficiency and goes an extra mile, doing more than expected. There had been a crucial time where a month end report was about to be ending up with wrong figures. Shivam was able to identify the problem much early on the daily report, and he voluntarily extended to correct the mistake. This helped much in presenting the month end report to the customer with accurate data at the right time. Also, he is an excellent communicator, and he quickly learns to survive and compete the peer group.
The current assignment has a scope of handling major incidents via a technical call where technical experts from business and 3rd party vendor gather on a conference bridge to address the issue to ensure maximum system availability. This involves effective communication and technical expertise. Shivam had played a vital role in handling such calls individually, and that has taken team performance to heights, without escalations.
