For those of you I haven’t had the pleasure of speaking with personally I have recently been designated as LPO. I want to take this opportunity to reach out and address a few things.
I realize this is kind of long winded, but I promise to be more concise in the future.
First, if you have not already done so please make sure you complete your resume and/or Bio and upload them to the Sharepoint web site by the end of the week. Leadership was adamant about having this completed by the end of the drill weekend. If you are having trouble uploading them, then please send me your resumes/bios and I will work on uploading them for you.

It is important not to just list what you did, but the impact that it had.
For example, don’t just say, “Worked as assistant Uranalysis Coordinator,” say “Volunteered as assistant Uranalysis Coordinator for 45 unit members, ensuring the unit is 100% compliant.”
Also, things outside of the Navy like certifications, education and volunteer work are also worth mentioning in your monthly eval billets. If you ran a 5k, for Brain Tumor Research, then put down you served as a part-time fundraiser for Brain Tumor research. If you finished a certification or a degree, please mention that, it shows initiative.
The Chiefs also said there is no limit to the number of unpaid drills we can sign up for. According to Senior Chief Siegers, if you go to the gym or run 3 or 4 times a week it can count as one retirement point. This is an opportunity to earn at least an additional 48 retirement points a year, which could result in thousands of dollars more a year if you decide to retire from the reserves.
Finally, I will send out an email about a week before each drill weekend, please let me know if you cannot make drill for any reason so I can let the chiefs know as soon as
