I read Life Boat Ethics: The Case against helping the poor. This happened to be one of my personal favorites of the essays I have read out of this book. The essay talks about how the world is growing so rapidly in some places and it has a lot different outlooks on the world compared to most things I have read. It talked about all the poor countries and poor people the world and that if they keep reproducing there will be so many people in this world that we will not be able to support all of them.…

    Manifest Destiny Benefits

There are different interpretation about manifest destiny today, many people define Manifest Destiny was a 19th century doctrine that the united states had the right and duty to expand through out the North American Territory. John O'sullivan defined manifest destiny as the divine and God given right of the American people to expand through the lands. I'll be defining Manifest destiny differently, Manifest destiny to me was/is the greedy want for resources, economical wealth, and land which drove the American government into causing an historical aberration i.e the trail of tears and the Mexican war which will remain in history forever. Expansionists/Nationalists felt the republic needed to expand so as to keep growing economically, military might etc even though it resulted to the killings of native Americans and a civil war between America and Mexico. Many supported Manifest destiny for moral, political, parotitic reasons but the Southerners supported it because they thought it would help spread slavery in the states.…

Foster care systems need to be better taken care of by the government so the children in the systems receive what they need before and after their release of the system. An example of this is that foster care systems don’t have enough money to care for the kids when they leave the foster system. The article, “6 problems with the foster care system - and what you can do to help,” states that they can’t afford for the needs for the young adults when they leave the foster system, it says, “Foster care has long been criticized for failing to meet the needs of children, from allowing kids to age out of the system without safety nets in place,” (Dupere, 2016). This explains how others attack the foster systems because when a child grows out the…

People have heard about welfare and government handouts in the newspapers, and social media. Many people have large concerns about who the government chooses to give money to. Many people also feel that multiple background checks should be performed and that all applicants should be drug tested before they receive benefits and during the period of time that they get paid. Since America’s work force is actually flipping the bill for these benefits, Americans have every right to be concerned with how the government spends the money. “There are thirteen main types of welfare or government assistance” (Federal safety net).…

It's much less stressful knowing you have a "buddy" to turn to for help and answers. Feeling supported by your co-workers is a huge part of feeling accepted by the team. When co-workers work well together, its a much better environment for all involved and promotes nurse retention, which leads to quality patient care. TITLE Being An Alien And Relaxing In A UFO In Bratislava LEAD PARAGRAPH Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is the only capital city in the world that borders two neighbouring countries, Austria and Hungary. Bratislava and Vienna are the two closest capital cities in the world and are both places that I recommend you visit. You can reach either destination from travelling from the other by boat, plane or train; however, my preference is to depart from Vienna and travel to Bratislava by train. This is because you can visually see and appreciate the change from chic and modern architecture to the authentic and communist influenced buildings during the duration of your journey. The cost of travelling by train is also the cheapest and fastest way in which to reach Bratislava.…
