Shiny Penny Productions: Company Analysis

The structural frame for an organization can make or break a company. Having employees know their place and strive to accomplish their main goals is mandatory for success. The company I currently intern for, Shiny Penny Productions, has a clear structural frame for the company, which encourages prosperity and growth because of the clearly laid out job roles.
The structural frame for Shiny Penny Productions is similar to a pyramid. At the top would be the CEO and founder, who happens to be a major music producer, and his wife, who’s a major film producer. Underneath them are a few key players including, the head of film and television scripts, a marketing manager for mainly music, and then a few random employees who come in when they are needed for either music production and or editing. Next in line is my boss, who is the CEO’s personal assistant. Following her would be my position as an intern, shared with another intern on occasion, but even the interns are given different roles based on what they are most interested in learning.

Also, based on the interactions I have encountered, I can tell how everyone respects certain individuals above themselves on occasion due to the hierarchal system at bay. Based on my knowledge of the organization, I believe the company’s best qualities from the structural model are their division of labor through differentiation and integration, and authority because nothing gets put into action or set in stone without the CEO’s approval which helps make sure everyone does their job efficiently and
