Today, I will be talking about the functions of the Terra Cotta Army of Qin Shihuangdi. The Terra Cotta Army was a part of the immense burial tomb constructed for Emperor Qin Shi Huang. It is one of the largest burial complex ever built for a leader in the world. There are over 8,000 life size statues of soldiers buried along with the emperor. Each soldier in the Terra Cotta Army has distinct facial features. They stand at around 5'11-6'7 feet. The reason for this great tomb is because Emperor Qin wanted to be immortal. Emperor Qin spent much of his life looking for the "elixir of life". He felt this huge army would shield him, as well as keep his power in the afterlife. In my opinion, I do believe he built this mass burial tomb to be a powerful
