“So, as you were already explained to, you are in the Glade. My name’s Alby and his name is Newt.” He said pointing at the British boy, who I know as Newt. Newt had gone in to shake Chris’ and my hands, expressing a very welcoming smile on his face. Alby, on the other hand, was much more serious and tough. “Do you Greenies remember your names?” Alby asked.
“Yeah, I’m Chris and she’s Scarlett. She is my older sister.” Chris said glancing at me. Chris’ last words, ‘older sister’, all the sudden made me feel a big hole in my heart. It was the same kind of feeling you would get when you missed a family member or even a beloved pet. I don’t know why I was feeling this; all I know is that it wasn’t pleasant. I had the sudden urge to look for someone

A family. I couldn’t remember them but I must have had one, right? Chris and I couldn’t have just appeared without a reason. I was just about to ask why we were here and where our family was, if we had any, when I was interrupted out of my thoughts once more.
“So, there are only three quite simple rules living here in the Glade. Number One; once you get your job, you have to work and work hard. There is absolutely no time for any slackers. Number Two; you should never, ever hurt another Glader. In order to keep everything in peace and order, we have to be able to trust each other. Lastly, Number Three; Do not go beyond those walls,” Alby ordered Chris and I firmly. I wanted to know more, but with Alby’s very unfriendly tone and scowl on his face, I didn’t have the guts to say anything else. I just listened and so did Chris.
“Once it’s morning,” Newt had started saying, but then his eyes flickered upward, briefly looking out into the sky. For some reason he seemed to have forgotten what he was going to say. Confused as to why he stopped, I took a peak at the sky and saw that its normal blue color was changing. It turned purple, magenta, and even a scarlet. The sun was setting. Its beauty dazed me; it almost looked artificial and fake, as if it were just a painting. I looked back down when I heard Newt’s voice speak up again. “Alby, are the Runners back?” He asked

In Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer, Christopher McCandless throws away his past life in search of happiness, which he hopes to achieve through pure and raw struggles without the presence of society, ideally in the brutal wilderness of Alaska. Due to his controversial and fatal actions, many people see him as a clueless idiot as shown in the statement from the question, while others perceive him to be an admirable/noble individual or hero. At first, I personally believed that his actions were outright idiotic, but learning more about McCandless has allowed me to see why others admire him and his actions. Even though I can see this relationship, I simply don't agree with his actions or his mind set. He jeopardizes his whole life and in the end, it will cost him.…

The book that I chose to read was The Curious Incident of the Dog At Night-time it is about a teenager named Christopher Boone and his life. The book is written from his perspective and talks mostly about his life with mild autism and his family relationships. Christopher’s autism makes what most people may think of as a simple task, very difficult. For example when Christopher had to ride the subway he was very scared, so much so that could barely function, this was triggered by of the amount of people around him. For me these struggles are not something I was familiar with before reading this book.…
