In her article “ COUNSELORS CRUCIAL TO STUDENT SUCCESS,” Sherry Posnick-Goodwin, an author at California Educator, argues that counselors play an essential role in students’ success, but there are not enough of them to do so with every student. I agree with the points that Posnick-Goodwin makes in her article. The first point I agree with Posnick-Goodwin is the idea that, “Effective counseling programs are important to the school climate and a crucial element in improving student achievement.” When a student is in times of distress, it is crucial that they have someone to guide them down the tough road ahead of them. That someone would be the counselors as they play a vital part in changing students’ lives whether it is giving them life changing
