Sherry Amatenstein: Listening To The Caller's

Sherry Amatenstein volunteered at a crisis hotline to help troubled callers ease their pain. She went through a series of training sessions to prepare her to handle the real deal when the time comes. However, Amatenstein’s ideal of her job to help others drifted away the first night when her callers were verbally abusive and prattled about their problems. As she became dreadful of answering the phone, she received a suicidal call. She starts by remembering all the training she went through for these kinds of calls and begin by listening to the caller’s life filled with tragedies. The caller asked Amatenstein for a reason to live, making it uneasy for her to give the caller a direct answer. Nonetheless, she gets the caller to realize that there
