The three essays;“The joy of reading and writing: superman and me” by Sherman Alexie, “Is google making us stupid” by Nicholas Carr and “Reunion with boredom” by Charles Simic talk about reading; However Alexie reflects on how reading saved his life, Carr considers that technology has ruined the ability to read deeply and at a length and Simic refers to reading as a way to escape boredom.
