Sherman Alexie Biography

Frustrated with lack of change in his Indian community, Sherman Alexie sets out to defy stereotypes and save the lives of those without equal chance through reading and writing. He also sets out to learn how to read and write. After some hard and tedious years of work, he decides to become a writer. He writes novels, short stories, and poems. Along with this, he also teaches Indian kids creative writing. Though he became a writer and a teacher, it was not always that way. He used to read a whole lot, and learned by a Superman comic.
Sherman Alexie learned how to read at the age three from a Superman comic book. He would say out loud what he saw Superman do. Him learning to read, though, was not always easy. As it states in paragraph 7,” I read
