TV Show, Movie, and Book of Sherlock Holmes Comparison In this paper I will discuss the difference and similarities. Sherlock Holmes was in the television show and movie. Holmes was the main character. I will also discuss the characters and how Holmes solved the crimes. The characters closely relate to the attention in detail in the television episodes and the movie in comparison to the book. The movie and the book added a few further explanations to the book that were not quite as clear when we read the story. The movie is the clearest to the book in my opinion. Sherlock Holmes is the main character in all of the Holmes movies, television episodes and the stories. Holmes is widely known character throughout the episodes, movies, and the stories. He was a very intelligent human. Sherlock sometimes was smarter than the police in solving crimes. I think that Sherlock is …show more content…
There was many other important characters including Doctor Watson and Irene Adler. In the book, I thought Dr Watson was a nice, jovial fellow, assisting Sherlock in all of his investigations. In the movie, I saw Dr Watson to be like a bigger person and not as nice. Watson and Holmes had an unclear relationship in the movie in the book, but especially in the television series. The two men, Watson and Holmes, were living together. Watson married Mary Morstan. In the television series, I am pretty sure Watson had a women with him the whole time, because in the book Morstan died after a few months of marriage. Irene Adler, was the only women that integrated or made secrets with Sherlock. Adler and Sherlock spent a lot of time with each other especially in the book and the movie, which caused people to question if they were together. Holmes was trying to get pictures that Adler had. I think Adler and Holmes would have spent more time together in the television series if the episodes were longer in time

It is in the perspective of Dr. Watson, who is working along with Mr. Sherlock Holmes to try and solve the murder of Sir Charles Baskerville. However, in 2002, one hundred years later, David Atwood directed a BBC adaptation of this great work of mystery. In both the book and the television series, the main character of Watson, Baskerville, and the culprit are three main pieces of the plot that can be heavily contrasted as well as compared. One of the first places that it is easy to see the differences and similarities between the television show and the book is with Sherlock’s sidekick, Watson.
