This earthquake occurred in the Shaanxi province (formerly Shensi), China, about 50 miles east-northeast of Xi'an, the capital of Shaanxi. This earthquake has took 830,000 lives and ground fissures landslides and city walls were destroyed. This quake also affected Liuyang 500 miles away from shensi.
