Memories of Tracy through Shemecca’s eyes

Shemecca grandmother’s house was a very full but loving home. There were seven people living under one roof, but there was one special child--Shemecca’s favorite, Tracy. Because Grandma was such a great caretaker, she took Tracy in to raise her as her own along with some of her other grandchildren. Shemecca enjoyed playing dolls all the time with Tracy. The two were really the only two girls in the house. “She wasn't like a niece; she was my friend.” Shemecca taught Tracy how to ride a bike when she was about 6.

When Tracy was about 20 she had a son then 2 years later she had another son that’s when the family found out Tracy had a brain Tumor. “A brain tumor is a collection, or mass, of abnormal cells in your brain”(“Brain Tumor: Types, Risk Factors & Symptoms”). Jessica Risner Heather Ward English 1101-41 October 5, 2015 “Love You Forever” Literary Analysis One of my favorite stories to read to my daughter is “Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. The story is about a mother who sneaks into her son’s room, once he is sleeping, and sings a song to him. She sings to him these words “I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be (pg. 14).” My favorite part about this story is that once her son is a teenager, and even a grown adult, she still sneaks into his room and sings her song to him.…

People want to get rid of autism altogether, with that label as part of the reason why. However, like Temple says “people are always looking for the single magic bullet that will totally change everything. There is no single magic bullet.”…

The four theories of personal identity—body theory, soul theory, memory theory, brain theory— are very well discussed in John Perry's book, A Dialogue on Personal Identity and Immortality. In an argument between Gretchen Weirob, Sam Miller, and Dave Cohen, all these theories are put into question in a discussion about the possibility of life after death. Overall, throughout the book , in these discussions it seems as if the body theory wins the argument for having more pros and fewer cons than the memory, brain and soul theories. However, this theory is contradicted and deemed not possible because when the body dies the person identity no longer exists.…
