Day 1- we learned health, safety and emergency procedures when off shore. Such as how to get out of a sinking helicopter, how to properly swim once floating in the water, team techniques to increase our chance of survival, and use lifesaving equipment if need to abandon ship/platform. Then we learned why it is important to follow safety regulations and why certain procedures are done and how it is everyone's responsibility to prevent it. As well as how the Piper drill rig explosion could have been avoided by fixable mistakes, how fire extinguishers and how different fires such as a kitchen fire should be properly put out, why it is important to be aware of just others but ourselves for mistakes. Next thing was how they monitor Well Logs with huge screens to determine where oil is and how they use 3D seismographics to determine where to drill new wells. Lastly there is how they monitor pressures in all the wells as well as how they keep track of production rates of water, oil and natural gas of a rig in real time to where they can even calculate the cash flow of the rig by the minute. A lot of it did seem like it was monitoring, only it was looking at complicated stuff. Lastly they treat us to lunch and have a panel of 9 of their recently hired engineers to answer any of our questions. Overall it was a pretty eye opening experience. No disrespect, but running around that camp for as many times as I did, I do not want to go back there unless we get significant free time before breakfast and

In this lesson, I learned about the different temperaments, colors or preferences that make individuals unique on our own way and that every person was born with a pre-deposition temperament. By knowing the different colors, it will help how I communicate and approach people with a different preference. 2.…
