On 11-19-2016 at approximately 2215 hours, I was notified by Cpl. Graves # 4044, of a traffic crash that occurred on Sheldon Road at the intersection of Redwood Boulevard. I responded to the crash scene and upon arrival at approximately 2323 hours, I was assigned to forensically map the scene.
The intersection of Redwood Boulevard and the southbound lanes of Sheldon Road had been closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic with crime scene tape and marked patrol vehicles. I then met with Cpl. L. Rivera and Det. Parsons, who advised of the circumstances of the incident and what occurred.

There is a left turn lane separated by a solid white line, leading to a median crossover which facilitates making either a left turn onto Redwood Boulevard or a u-turn to southbound Sheldon Road. There is also a bicycle lane along the east side of northbound Sheldon Road, separated from the traffic lanes by a solid white lane.
Sheldon Road is a heavily traveled road in unincorporated western Hillsborough County, which functions as an arterial roadway and runs predominantly north and south. In the area of the crash, Sheldon Road extends north from Hillsborough Avenue to Gunn Highway. The road services both residences and businesses. In the area of the crash, the roadway is composed of asphalt and the road edges are bordered by concrete curbing. The paved portion of the southbound lanes of Sheldon Road is approximately 32 feet wide. The total width of Sheldon Road is approximately 94 feet.
Redwood Boulevard is located on the west side of the intersection and runs predominantly east and west. Redwood Boulevard extends west from Sheldon Road and is the main east-west roadway within the 3 Lakes Subdivision. The east and westbound lanes are divided by a raised concrete median. The roadway surface is composed of asphalt measuring approximately 49 feet wide and is bordered by concrete
