Sheila's Short Story

Improved Essays
It was a dark and rainy night. Not a warm, summer night, nor a freezing, snowy night: it was a sad, wet night and that means sorrow.... but not for Sheila. Sheila the young fourteen year old, came home from her 8th grade dance at Cornerstone Christian Academy. The dance was tons of fun. Sheila’s mom had let her get her hair done at a salon for the first time! In addition to the hair, she had gotten a beautiful black dress that was almost 200 dollars. As the room came into focus, she noticed some kind of figure hanging above her head. Because, she had fainted, she was lying on the ground. It was the hideous monster! Staring deep into her soul, beckoning her. So close, that she could smell its terrible rotting breath. Sheila couldn’t move, or make a sound. She tried to scream, but no noise came out. It slowly opened its mouth to show its nasty teeth. Then it lunged at her, and that’s the last thing she ever
