In the article “Pros and Cons of Food Additives” from October of 2001, the author, Sheila Globus, describes both the negative and positive effects that food additives have. She did this by listing the pros and cons of food additives, supported by scientific data from the late twentieth century and from the early twenty-first century, all without picking a specific side to argue for or against to avoid any form of bias. From lines thirteen to twenty of the article, Globus describes some of the many positive effects that food additives have on the food that they accompany.
