Shears Session One Journal
An event or experience that has influence my academic success is being interviewed for a newly created position which involved a promotion at work. Something that I was qualified to do and have the experience of doing it, but was turned down because I lacked the education for upward mobility. This was the catalyst that provided the fuel for my motivation and determination to achieve my academic goals.
Let me set the scene for you. Well the days leading up to the meeting I was researching interview questions and practicing possible answers, and then it hit me like a ton of bricks.
