Shea butter is one of the latest trends in beauty. This fat comes from the nut of the African Shea tree. This product works on almost any skin condition. In fact, the Shea Institute lists 21 skin conditions including acne, eczema and even wrinkles that can be treated with the butter. In addition, there is evidence that the butter has medicinal properties and as a result, it is often used to help heal bug bites, sunburn and even frostbite. It also absorbs ultraviolet light, but as a sunscreen, it would likely have an SPF of no more than four. Finally, it is often used to provide needed moisture to damaged hair. According to the Shea Institute, the butter is considered superior to other seed oils because it has a high healing fraction. The healing fraction is the portion of the fat that contains the important nutrients. Many seed oils have only a percent or two of this healing fraction but Shea has at least 5% and can have as much as 17%. Additionally, the butter contains fatty acids that help rejuvenate and moisturize skin. It also includes ample supplies of vitamins A and E and K, all of which are necessary for good skin. …show more content…

Not only do they produce a fine product but, they provide much needed employment with fair wages to many female residents of Ghana .They also donate fifteen percent of their profits back to a fund to help further the education of their workers.

That is quite a promise and claim. The message is that if you use this product line your skin will look better in two weeks and may even look like the model in the advertisement (who 's photo has probably been perfected by a computer program).
