She Told Me Narrative

I live in her run-down, crime-filled city. In her dark, foul smelling room. In her beautiful, yet heavy and unsettling desk. I know everything about her and her bruised, broken body. She has told me her deepest secrets and unspoken feelings, the stories that she has told no soul before. I can recall one special story in particular...the one on my final pages...one to never be forgotten. The clouds hung low on that chilling November day. The woman, alone in her cramped apartment, writing. Her hand aching, as she examines her forever injured wrist. She tells me about her crazed, drug-addicted boyfriend, who was recently killed, leaving her alone, with little money and little hope. He wondered what I could contain, and longed to read me, but sighed and continued on. The woman did not trust James, just as she did not trust her late, abusive boyfriend. The woman quickly thanked him, asked him to leave, and fearfully shut the door. A sigh of relief came out of her, and she returned to me and continued writing. With her heart pounding, she tried to forget about the strange encounter, but more important, tried to forget about her even more tragic past.
The rain picked up drastically, and the wind howled as the storm blew deep over the city. Nobody else out on the streets, the woman felt uneasy, still not knowing if she was truly alone. A crack of thunder and flash of lightning made her jump. Her heart now racing, a breeze blew on her back, and a shiver climbed up her body, feeling another body present.
She whipped herself around to see the man out on her shaking apartment balcony, trying to get in. In shock, she sprinted to the kitchen, grabbing the first knife she found and turned around to see the man walking towards ME. Her eyes grew wide, and she froze in panic. It was already too

The woman rose, and knowing it was to save her own life and her own future, she raised the knife and stabbed the man. Ending his life, his thoughts, but most importantly, ending his knowledge about her darkest secret. The fresh blood drips down the knife and into her hand, then spilled over on the floor, a feeling she knew too well. James falls dead onto the floor. Her mind not believing what she just had done...not once, but twice. Her bare feet feel warm as his blood trickles between her toes. Jumping back, she gasps as a stream of tears flow down her guilt-filled face, and ran to me in the corner, frantically searching for an outlet to her
