The goal for TFA is to help teachers who want to make a difference in theirs and other's lives. College students who want to dedicate their lives to teaching, strong, vibrant, cultural communities who help strengthen their youth, and for students who are the future of the world (Teach for America). In 1989. It all started with a new idea formed by the brilliant mind of Wendy Kopp. She believed simply that the education standards needed to be changed in areas with low-income families, who couldn’t afford the necessary items for a proper school experience. Her idea was to spread teachers and resources throughout the country where it is needed. The TFA staff is made up of people who want to change their career, former teachers, or college students who want to fulfill their dream. They are taken through the mandatory training needed to become a qualified teacher. These teachers serve the children who are in need or who can’t afford the proper and necessary education to get jobs or even go to high school. This gift is provided in 53 regions around the United States including cities like Chicago and Detroit. Teach For America is able to provide what about 91% of America’s youth complains about nearly every …show more content…
Wendy Kopp had the idea and now has the power to make this happen. Teach for America has been extremely effective when it comes to the education of their students. Between military veterans and scholarship receivers, TFA has changed the lives of many children who deserve it. With 65% graduating college and 45% who are successful after, it shows what the organization has been doing so well. Forty percent of America’s innocent children go without sufficient education. 31% don’t get a high school diploma. You could be a part of the 20,000 members and staff who are changing lives everyday. Would you rather wake up in the morning thinking what if or what now? You could take part in leading the 41% children that are left behind and take them to the finish line of success. Teaching is not an easy or lazy job. It takes time and effort to complete. Yet thousands of people are willing and eager to take that challenge. You could join them or sit out and watch. TFA grants the opportunity of life change and an ideal community. No one else can grant such an ideal gift. I dare you to change the world. Yeah you, getting that college education. I dare you to be someone important, a teacher. To be a role model, an innovator, an inspiration, to be a teacher. Be my teacher. Think you can change the world? Prove it. What are you gonna do? Take some office job and be like everybody else? Do they even
