Having the right attitude can or cannot be difficult it is only based on the situation you are in and the person you are. Andy Always carried himself in a positive manner, he never let anything get to him. When Andy was in prison he had a great and determined sense of hope. Although Red told Andy that hope is a dangerous thing that can make a man insane, he never gave up. When Andy told Norton about how Tommy says that he's able to prove that Andy innocent, Norton locked Andy up Because he was afraid of losing Andy and that Andy would tell somebody about Norton's secret illegal money if he was proven innocent man allowed to leave Shawshank. However even after Andy was brought to its knees with Norton's blackmail he did not give up and stay positive and he accomplished his goal of getting out of Shawshank. When Andy first started on his journey to build the best prison Library, he wrote weekly to the state senate asking for funds and resources to make the library the best one in new England. After three years he got $200. He didn't give up and right after he started to write two letters a week every week and soon he got the funds needed to build a library. At the start of the movie Brooks was seen as a positive and gentle character, but that change right after news of him being out on parole. He had become angry with fear because he was like a bird that was meant to be caged, just like Jake, but what can he do? He's too old to commit another crime. He found that life is so difficult that it made him suicidal. In his situation having the right attitude is difficult because in a situation that like brooks where he doesn't understand anything and is with people he does not know and who don't care about
