I believe I should be selected to receive a Shawn Carter Foundation Scholarship because I will productively take advantage of the opportunities that the scholarship will provide me. Throughout high school I made it my mission to be a hardworking student and I persistently worked hard within my extracurricular activities and volunteer work. Being involved with extracurricular activities and volunteering has led me to develop a strong work ethic and a strong capability to focus, manage my time, and make sure my work is always completed. Obtaining this scholarship will boost my self-confidence because I know it will create a foundation for me to reach my career and academic goals. I plan to work extra hard to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree
