At the beginning of chapter ten LeDonne heard another voice and it was Rattler. At first I thought he was just another hallucination that he was have, but it turns out that he was a real person. I thought it was pretty cool that that Rattler also has “the sight” like Nora Bonesteel. When Ben went into Larks hospital room he thought there was going to be all kinds of famous people, but there was not. I could not imagine being in the hospital and not have any family or friends there. Lark has just pushed some many people out of her life that nobody wants to be with her. I feel so bad for Lark because she did not get to patch things up or even say goodbye to her father before he died, but at the same time she made her decision. I just don't understand how you can feel so much resentment towards your own …show more content…
In the last chapters Lark was looking for a song that was about a girl and a grave. Spencer knew what songs she was looking for. So she asked him to sing it to her so he did. Overall this book was not one I really liked at all. I read it, but I really didn't enjoy it that much. I am not a big fan of historical, realistic fiction which is what this book is. Although there were somethings I did like about the book like the author Sharyn McCrumb is a direct descendant of Malcolm McCourry. Another reason was that the book and the events were set in North Carolina, Tennessee, and even Virginia. Which is where we live and place we are familiar with. Eldridge McCourry is actually McCrumbs great-grandfather. There were a lot of creepy and weird things in this book also. Like the “ghost” Joe LeDonne saw up on the mountain. Another was Bonnie the “ghost” who died in a plane crash and wanted Lark's song. Probably the most unusual thing in the entire book was when Malcolm married Sally when she was only fifteen and he was in his mid to late fifties. If you think about it tho if he would not have married her Sharyn McCrumb would not be here and her books would have never

Shubin starts off by telling us about his discovery of Tiktaalik, a fish which represents the evolutionary transition between fish and primitive land-living animals. Not all slave owners where innocent by any means but Turner didn’t just kill the slave owners he killed women and children also.…
