Sharps Puncture Proof Unite: A Case Study

Decent Essays
I agree, the needle stick should be disposed of in the sharps puncture proof container. I believe this is one of the most dangers safety hazards in the office if the needle is not disposed in the proper container. If this was just discarded in the trash can, someone could be taken out the trash and could become contained with the used needle. Any accidents such as this one should be let the proper manager know and should be reported. If any safety hazards occur you should be examined at by a provider no matter how big or small or insignificant it may seem.

There are several very aggressive infections that are spread through the re-use of needles, including but not limited to Hepatitis C, and Human Immune-deficiency Virus, or more commonly known as HIV, as well as other medical concerns such as abscesses, and other wounds. When we look at the standing of a forged knife today compared to the standing it held in the past, we see that a forged knife stands high. The Maker Manifesto, written by Mark Hatch, describes making as a part of human nature by saying “Making is fundamental to what it means to be human”. Making, being part of what it means to be human, gives each person a connection to one another. Empathy is the ability to understand and share someone’s feelings. The process on making a forged knife is a very grueling and time consuming, but the product of this labor is something that anyone can take appreciation for because we feel the effort, and we feel the time put into the process.…

Gary Gerstle’s “American Crucible: Race and Nation in the Twentieth Century” thrive upon the ideals of race and civic nationalism definitively shaping the American twentieth century (Gerstle 5). Racial divides impacted most conceivable aspects of daily life: economic status, social divides, laws, and even military practices. Civic nationalism is synonymous with patriotism, and a loyalty to one’s country of citizenship, an aspect constantly under question with an unsure government. Along-side race and nation-key American figures like Martin Luther King Jr., Malcom X, and the prominent Roosevelt cousins, Franklin and Theodore shaped America’s policies and cultural attitudes for over half a century.…

If you work in the medical field, you know as well as anyone just how dangerous bacteria and viruses can be. While this is true for all applications, it is especially true in medical facilities. When it comes to a medical office or facility, keeping the space clean, tidy, and sanitary directly related to being a reliable healthcare provider. Not to mention, a medical facility that isn’t sanitary will be less likely to have returning patients or staff members, as nobody wants to be in a dirty, unsafe area.…
