The most challenging part of returning to college is creating a balance between school, work, and life. In an already busy lifestyle, making time to write papers and complete assignments will take careful planning, a strong support system, and dedication. The use of shared calendars, clear communication, and focusing on the future (Chambers, nd) will be keys to success.

Shared calendars, like Google Calendar, can be a huge benefit to students and families, alike. Calendars, if linked between two or more people, can alert each person when an assignment is due or when a child in the family has a doctor appointment. Knowledge of each person’s schedule can help the support system to know when extra help around the house or much needed quiet
