Shaquille Rashaun O’Neal was one of the most dominant and famous basketball players in the NBA. Born on March 6, 1972 in Newark, New Jersey, he began and continued helping his teams to win Championships and Olympic gold, all up until the year, 2011, which was his retirement year. In Shaq’s early years, he was an athlete, actor and musician, who graduated from Cole High School in San Antonio, Texas and enrolled at Louisiana State University. During his rookie season of Professional Basketball with Orlando Magic, he starred in the TOP 10 in scoring, rebounding, blocks and shooting percentage. He is also the first player in NBA history to be titled “Player of the Week” in his first week in the league.
