Shape up Australia is apart of the Australian Government 's National Partnership Agreement on Preventive Health within the states and regions in order to help all Australians lessen their waist measurements and enhance their general health and wellbeing.
Shape up Australia was introduced by The Australian National Preventive Health Agency (ANPHA) February 2013 to take after on from Swap it, don 't stop it and is still a prominent program as of recent times.
Shape Up Australia endeavours to meet these aims within the Australian community by offering opportunities to better coordinate activities that are underway throughout Australia to ensure healthier lives are led, delivering cohesive responses to growing waistlines. The organisations that partner with the campaign use the Shape Up Australia brand to promote their services, resources and programs to consumers. Organisations need to be eligible to use the brand; meeting certain criteria (eg. activities align with National Dietary and Physical Activity Guidelines).
