Honestly I love talking about this. When most people think of some that they are mostly influence by you think of an older person. Maybe even someone related to you but not me. The person I look up to is Shannon Taylor. Shannon is a twenty year old that went through a lot throughout her life but you couldn’t tell by looking at her. She came to my high school in the middle of my ninth grade year and a lot of people was spreading things about her. Mostly saying she is racist don’t want to admit that she is mixed a lot of dumb things. It took us awhile to become friends but when we did she was instantly my best friend. I found out that her life was pretty much horrible. Her mom and dad both went to prison when she was young. From starters I thought …show more content…
Everyone thought this one was perfect because at least she knew her but nope this woman treated her so differently at home. I hated it for her, I prayed things would get right one day. Yet things turned once again the daughter of the coach started to date Shannon’s cousin and that was a no. These people did not like for anyone to date outside of the race. Once again Shannon was kicked out, and now into a complete stranger home. This family ended up being a blessing for her. They understood her needs and helped her become the person she is today. After all that Shannon went through she kept smiling. Shannon kept praying and knew that god had a plan and he did. He placed her into a great house, and now she’s intending University of Alabama with no school loans. After everything I went through I always look at her story and think god going to give me my blessing soon. Shannon is the most humble person I know that’s why I gave her the role of being my baby Godmother because I knew she was never let a kid be alone like she was. Anytime I get lonely or let my praying knees get lonely I call or text her and my mind takes a complete
