The media text that I will be analyzing for my Media Analysis paper is an episode of Shameless. I thought an episode of Shameless would be a good media text for my paper because of the different themes that are portrayed in the show. Shameless is based on a family of six children whose parents are absent. The father, Frank, is an alcoholic and the mother, Monica, left her children and never came back. The oldest sister, Fiona, is in charge and responsible for all her brothers and sister. The show is based on their family struggles with money and how the family tries to survive living off little money, while the six of them learn to take care of themselves. The specific episode I will be analyzing for my paper is Season 1: Episode 7, which is
