Shakespearean plays and the King James Bible, are regarded by many scholars as the most influential works of the English language. Consequently, it is a great accomplishment to read either, due to their archaic and elevated quality compared to the literature of today. The works of Shakespeare and the bible are similar in many ways, for instance, in both the Bible and Shakespeare, we can see that they are based on true events in history; the only difference, is that Shakespeare sometimes altered the stories to add drama, whereas the bible is thought to have consisted strictly of the truth and word of God. Furthermore, both literary pieces use strong rhetoric, but I believe, the Bible evokes stronger images than those of Shakespeare. Regarding
