One way that Shakespeare's world is different from ours is how if you were a man or a woman, you were treated differently. In the article, "Elizabeth's England," by Utah Shakespearean Company, it says that women were of lower position than men. Men were shown as the 'heroic' type where as women were basically sold off into arranged marriages. Marriages weren't of love, they were to make a good family and be there for the man. This is not like our world because people can choose who they want to marry. Women still don't get some rights of what a man has, but it is not like Shakespeare's world. Women have a lot of rights now like voting, working as a doctor, police officer, etc.

In the movie, "Shakespeare: In the Classroom," it said that Shakespeare would have the actors rehearse the play in about a week. During this time, Shakespeare would still be writing the play as the practices went on. This is different from the modern world because today the people who put on plays be able to practice for a long period of time. Movies, for example, have a production time around many months or so while Shakespeare's was for a few days. Plays that go around today have a practicing time to around a few
