Attending the world's largest erotic art museum has encouraged me to view sexuality with a more opened minded perception. Sexuality is very diverse for instance, in the way sexual acts are performed and carried out. Historically, individuals are biologically and genetically programmed to seek out sexual behaviors with others. Either for means of reproduction or their personal pleasure, but one thing is very evident, and that is that sex is pleasurable and enjoyable for most. Love, lust, desires, are all aspects that drive humanity towards their sexual longing and the fact that so many artists can captivate the beauty within these pieces is remarkable. Another intriguing piece that was captivating was a figurine, resin, of a snake emerges from the vulva on the side of an apple by a German contemporary. This object is extremely symbolic because at first it seems to represents Eve's innocence, but ironically it was used for the apple and the snake that both caused Eve and Adam to be cast out from the Garden of Eden. The piece is a symbolic representation of the forbidden fruit, which housed the snake that leads her to seduce Adam. Ultimately, the seduction led to their banishment from the Garden of Eden. This piece is both engaging and intriguing because Eve seems to embody the snake itself and the emergence of the snake coming out of the vulva signifies a seductive intent on her behalf. This piece was one of the most influential pieces in the whole collection it captures, in essence, the innocence and guilelessness of Eve's sexual desire and its awakening from fruit in itself.
