Sexuality, one of those little details that define us. The social “norm” is any form of intimacy, marriage, relationship, etc. between a man and a woman, but what occurs to those that break this “norm?” What occurs to those that freely express their love towards the same sex? Or both sexes? Although finding newfound freedom and having the ability to be who you are; the path of destruction always finds its way to those that are happy. Any form of love that isn’t heterosexual is frowned upon due to religion, cultural values and public opinion. Even though individuals can respond differently to the topic, there’s nothing wrong with a different “love” because people should be able to love whom they want.

A majority of religions are against homosexuality. Many of these religions all can agree that homosexuality is not what God wants; it’s against his beliefs. A website dedicated to giving facts on religions, goes in depth on each religions view points of homosexuality; for example, Islam finds this to be sinful and punishable against islamic law. "We also sent Lut: He said to his people: Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation (ever) committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds." -Qur'an 7:80-81. The “New Age” religion accepts homosexuality has an alternative; for it is within bounds of general ethics as well. As you can see although the majority of religions are against it, there are some that are for it. Many are very strict about religion therefore, if a child came out as anything other than heterosexual, they would be an outcast; a disgrace. “In the religion of the insecure / I must be myself / Respect my youth” (Lines 35 - 36), Gaga (Germanotta) refers to religion as a form of insecurity due to the fact that today’s youth gets sucked into it by their parents, friends,
