Our sexuality is what makes us unique. It is “the distinguishing character or personality of us humans” and when someone is a victim of sexual violence like “rape” or when someone’s sexual orientation is violated thought negative comment, it is this distinguishing character” that is violated: one’s name, body and even soul is tampered with when their sexuality is being disrespected.it therefore is no wonder that victims of sexual assault and violation of their sexual orientation often feel that their have no place in society and usually take action by committing suicide.so therefore, this is a serious problem we face in our society today. My parents are predominantly catholic so the so they expect me and my brothers to have sexual intercourse only after marriage. Indeed, in the past my parents have saw and meet my previous girlfriends in high school but what they didn’t know was that I was sexually active with most of my previous girlfriends.so I told them about how I was sexual active at in high school. they were shocked and disappointed but my mom told me later on that she wasn’t surprised. Additionally, my mother said that a parent “especially moms”, can tell when their son or daughter becomes engage in sexual activities. My parent explains to me how they believe in the theory of natural laws while state that “everything has a purpose if it happens naturally then it is natural. My parents also talk about their view on homosexuality. They told me that when they were growing up, homosexuality was no accepted but I today’s society it is widely accepts. Additionally, despite the fact my parents are catholic, and the catholic does not accept homosexual relationship. My parents seem to use their natural law theory to understand the morality and ethics of homosexuality. So therefor, I brought up the question about their thought on gay marriage.my parents basically agree with the concert of gay marriage base on the moral reasoning that if two people love each other society should accept them for who they are rather than changing
