It comprises thirty-seven percent of all sexual harassment claims, is committed by a co-worker, or a paying costumer (Giuffre 381). Sixty-Six percent of waitresses report being harassed by management, furthermore eighty percent report harassment from coworkers (Matthews). These statistics are quite fearful for waitresses and this should not be the case. Women should not have to go to their workplace in fear that some form of sexual harassment may be committed against her.
