It was very interesting to talk to the members and hear their sides of the story. They truly are just human beings and I believe that meeting with them and having an opportunity to talk to them has somewhat changed my view of sex offenders overall. Though I am still confused by their behaviors, which is somewhat difficult to overcome, but I am more understanding of who they are because they are only human and they know they have made a mistake.…

I believe I should be involved in this program because helping others is something I have always lived by. Being an approachable, kind hearted person has always been important to me. In my entire life, my friends, family, and peers would come to me multiple times looking for a person to talk to or receive advice for their personal issues. I have had a friend or two that has contemplated suicide once; therefore, from that day on I made sure that I would be there for anybody that needs help or just to show that someone does care about them.
