Wilson II, Gutierrez and Chao (2013), in the book titled "Racism, sexism, and the media: Multicultural issues into the new communication age" have raised several significant and critical issues regarding the role of race, gender, media in the society. The authors have argued that since a decade media have framed a stereotyped and false representation of diverse race, genders and cultures . The authors define stereotyping as a concept that is socio-political in American society and needs to be included within the culture. American Heritage Dictionary defines "Stereotyping" as an imaging system, a concept which is overly simplified and conventional. Lind, R.A. (2010). One of the scenes that are described by the author is worth paying attention when King Mufasa was sharing his wisdom with his son Simba who was the future king of the pride lands and will rule over different groups of animals living in pride land. He explained to him how the hierarchical society works in the pride lands and the circle of life. The author argues that Mufasa was entirely wrong about the circle of life and the balance of different groups in the pride lands.
The article can be related to one of the issues in WG&C (2013) book Justifying African enslavement, one of the noteworthy racial segregation issues faced by African in 1619. It has the false justification of ferocity and shrewdness with the Africans when they were exchange or trade for goods and food. Since the colonial times, unfair treatment and slavery towards coloured people were routine for the English Calvinist and puritan.
