Sexism: Discrimination Against Women

Sexism is the discrimination based on your sex or gender. It has been linked to stereotypes and gender roles, and may include the belief that one sex is intrinsically superior to another. Sexism is usually referred to as discrimination but something to always remember is discrimination affects both men and women. Although it is mostly perceived as discrimination of women and it is also very present among men. While it is very hard for people to believe that there will be discrimination against men and a handful of people can not accept it and do not think it is present. While it is present in both gender even third genders. I will be focusing on Sexism towards Females only. The term "sexism" was coined in 1965 and during that time sexism only referred to the hatred or discrimination of women. In the 19th century there were several written laws that prevented women from very many privileges.
