Human smuggling and Trafficking has been an epidemic in the western world, were as United States, Italy, Japan, Canada and Australia and others has been the main focal point for trafficking and smuggling people. Women and children are the most people suffered in smuggling and trafficking. This impact of victimization is more severe than the physical violence, and these effects are post-traumatic stress, depression, panic disorder and substance abuse. Human trafficking has been the main source of sexual transmitted diseases in so many communities and cities. These women are been sexually abused with no protection and some of them will have sex with ten to fifteen men a day with no condom. 75% of them are HIV positive. Another issue is unwanted pregnancy destroyed their future from been going to school or attending vocational institutes. These victims are as young as 17 to 18 years old with four or five kids because they can’t stop them from having unprotected sex. These kids will end up be dropping out of school because their families can’t provide the basic necessity the need. It’s really a great issue in certain part of the world, more especially those under developed countries in Africa, Asia and Middle East. Human smuggling and trafficking has economic implications in those countries where these traffickers carry victims for sex commodities. The country’s population will increase and cannot match with their budget for the rest of the citizens.
